MARKETING SEMINAR Our marketing seminar on Jan. 14th in Kamloops was a great success with over 70
people attending! Dr. John Church from Thompson Rivers University started the session off with some thoughts on the
work he is planning as the new Chair of Beef Sustainability. Anne Dunford, Gateway Livestock Marketing, as usual,gave
us valuable and pertinent information from the Canadian side and Brett Stuart, CattleFax, brought us up to date on the US
market. Both Anne and Brett agreed that COOL was an expensive and useless impediment to trade.
We hope to continue having seminars on all
aspects of our industry in the near future.
